Day 18: Tom Mitchell | #HITSBC15

Hey guys!

Day 18! I hope you're still in the party mood and haven't passed out yet from all the amazing live performances we've seen so far. In only 10 days time our little house in the sand turns three years old, so let's make the most of the rest of the birthday celebrations, shall we?

What is the Birthday Countdown though? Throughout the entire month of February, one artist/one band a day is going to wish house in the sand a happy birthday and then perform a song exclusively for us.

Tom Mitchell is a singer/songwriter from Bristol, UK. His music is best described as handmade folk with its focus on vocals and guitar work.

Tom has been surrounded by music from day one and grew up to the music of Genesis, Pink Floyd, The Beatles and a lot more.
At the age of 7 he was sat in front of a piano, four years later he started playing the guitar.

The guitar has never left Tom's side. In fact it lead him to play with acts such as Duffy, the Cadbury Sisters, Juey and John Madden.

In 2013 Tom finally started to sing and work on his own music and soon released his debut album "New World".
In March he is going to release his new record "Stones", so keep an eye on Tom's musical journey.

Dear viewers, prepare yourselves for the most adorable special guest we've had on house in the sand this far! Tom brought along his son Neddy and the two perform Tom's song "St James's Gate" in honour our third birthday.

Maaassive thank you to Tom for filming this video last minute due to my stupidity. And also, thank you for your support. And for thanks for letting me feature the next big superstar, Neddy.

Please go ahead and share this performance with your friends by using the hashtag #HITSBC15.
